September 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against American Travel Planners for allegedly falsely advertising its member benefits. Among other things, the complaint claims that the company falsely promises members exclusive benefits – such as access to travel packages and guaranteed discounts on travel packages provided by other vendors – when, according to plaintiffs, members do not get such benefits.
