Are there really any benefits to drinking alkaline water?
Saffron USA, a Florida-based business that claims to import Persian saffron, has wiped a number of unauthorized health claims for its products from its website in response to a recent FDA warning letter.
Among the products that the FDA found Saffron USA marketing with Only FDA-approved drugs can be marketed as having the ability to diagnose, cure, treat, prevent or mitigate a disease., which TINA.org confirmed have since been removed: an “allergy blend” whose touted health benefits had included “asthma,” a “diabetic support blend” that was also marketed to treat cancer, and a saffron loose tea blend that the company had claimed “fights anxiety” and helps with insomnia.
Remember, readers, marketing anything other than FDA-approved drugs as having the ability to treat, cure, alleviate the symptoms of, or prevent developing diseases and disorders is simply not permitted by law.
