Wellness® Dog Food
Allegations: Advertising dog foods as healthy and safe without warning consumers that the products contain arsenic and lead
April 2017: A federal judge dismissed this action finding that the complaint failed to sufficiently allege injury and a likelihood of future damages as a result of the alleged fraud.
August 2016: A class-action lawsuit was filed against WellPet, LLC for allegedly falsely marketing its Wellness brand pet food as “Made in the USA” when the products actually contain ingredients from foreign countries. (Sabo et al v. WellPet, LLC, Case No. 16-cv-8550, N. D. IL.)
