In November 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Whirlpool for allegedly falsely marketing that certain models of Whirlpool Gold®, Whirlpool, JennAir, Kenmore, KitchenAid, and Maytag dishwashers are “high-quality” and that “No One Has Fewer Repairs 18 Years in a Row” when, according to plaintiffs, the dishwashers leak causing damage to cabinetry, flooring, and other property due to a defect.
