In May 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Wegmans Food Markets for allegedly misleadingly claiming that the flavor in its Lowfat Yogurt comes from “vanilla with other natural flavors” on the front label when, according to the plaintiffs, the ingredients list does not include a vanilla ingredient and reveals the yogurt contains unspecified “Natural Flavor.” (Sharma et al v. Wegmans Food Markets, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-2210, E.D.N.Y.)
