In November 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Wegmans Food Markets for allegedly misleading marketing that vanilla is the main flavoring ingredient in Wegmans Organic Vanilla Almondmilk when, according to plaintiffs, the product contains the artificial flavor vanillin and the amount of vanilla is de minimis. (Alexander et al v. Wegmans Food Markets, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-9148, S.D.N.Y.)
