Vivid Seats Bait-and-Switch Scheme

In March 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed alleging that Vivid Seats uses a bait-and-switch scheme to lure consumers to buy tickets to concerts and sporting events by offering percentage discounts off of the original prices of tickets when, according to the plaintiffs, consumers who purchase these tickets actually pay the original price for them. (Derdiger et al v. Vivid Seats LLC, Case No. 19-cv-1904, N. D. IL.)
