Viva Labs Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

In November 2016, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Viva Labs for allegedly misleadingly marketing its Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil as healthy, as well as a healthy alternative to butter and other cooking oils when, in reality, the coconut oil’s total fat and saturated fat content make it unhealthy and a less healthy alternative. (Tracton et al v. Viva Labs, Inc., Case No. 16-cv-2772, S. D. CA.)
