August 2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Thrive Causemetics and its CEO Karissa Bodnar for allegedly falsely representing that for every one of its luxury cosmetics sold, the company donates a product to help a woman in need thrive when, according to plaintiffs, such claims are not true. (Barker et al v. Thrive Causemetics, Inc. and Karissa Bodnar, Case No. 18-2-21685-1, Washington State Court – King County)
