In September 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Rockville Audio for allegedly falsely advertising the Root Mean Square (RMS) power ratings of its amplifiers, speakers, and subwoofers to make consumers believe the audio products can handle more power and produce higher volumes than they actually can.
