The Pricing Tactics of American Airlines

A false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against American Airlines for allegedly offering airfare tickets at attractive prices but then increasing the price when consumers try to finalize their purchases. The complaint was originally filed in state court in April 2018 and transferred to federal court in May 2018. (Schultz et al v. American Airlines, Inc., Case No. 18-cv-80633, S.D. Fla.)
