Class Action

Taylor Farms Romaine Lettuce

In May 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Taylor Farms, along with Sam’s Club and Walmart, for allegedly marketing romaine lettuce fresh produce – including heads of lettuce, chopped lettuce, and ready-made salad packs – as being healthy, “triple washed” and ready to eat when, according to the plaintiffs, the lettuce was contaminated with E. coli (a harmful bacteria that causes stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, kidney failure, and death) for a period of time in 2018.
