In December 2016, a class-action lawsuit was filed against STS Vacations (a travel agency offering vacation packages, destination wedding packages, and travel insurance) for allegedly deceptively advertising Travel Guard travel insurance policies for emergency medical expenses, travel delay, trip interruption, and lost baggage when the advertised insurance did not actually exist, the travel agency had no business relationship with Travel Guard, and consumers did not receive any insurance coverage.
