May 2017: A Consolidated Class Action Complaint making similar allegations was filed.

April 2017: This case was consolidated with another similar lawsuit, Schuh v. Stein Mart.

July 2015: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Stein Mart, Inc. for allegedly deceptively comparing its prices to fabricated higher prices in order to make consumers believe that they are saving money by buying its products. (Sperling et al v. Stein Mart, Inc., Case No. 15-cv-1411, C. D. CA.)
