In December 2012, a $6 million settlement was reached in a class-action lawsuit filed against Slide Inc., a subsidiary of Google, in 2011. The lawsuit alleged that Slide violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending unsolicited text messages to consumers from its Disco group texting service. Class Members will receive a pro rata share of the $6 million settlement if they submit a Claim Form, which can be found at www.DiscoTextSettlement.com, by June 28, 2013.
