In January 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against PVK, Inc. for allegedly deceptively marketing Scarpetta sauces as having “No Preservatives” when, according to plaintiffs, they actually contain a preservative. (Jocelyn et al v. PVK, Inc., Case No. 18-cv-427, E.D.N.Y.)
