Restaurants at The Ritz-Carlton Hotels

In November 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. Specifically, the complaint alleges that the menus for the restaurants in its hotels fail to adequately disclose that the restaurants add an automatic gratuity or service charge to a customer’s check, in violation of Florida law. (Fox et al v. The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C., Case No. 17-cv-24284, S. D. FL.)
