In April 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against MAV Beauty Brands for allegedly falsely marketing Renpure plant-based personal care products as natural when, according to plaintiffs, the products contain synthetic and chemical ingredients. (Binakonsky et al v. MAV Beauty Brands Inc., Case No. 20-cv-638, W.D. Penn.)
