In November 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Pure Brazilian for allegedly deceptively representing that its coconut water is “cold pressed” and “pure” when, according to plaintiffs, the water is processed after being cold pressed. (Khallili et al v. Pure Brazilian, LLC, Case No. 17-cv-6425, E. D. NY.)
