CATrends: Tequilas Marketed as 100% Agave
Ingredient claims come into the limelight.
In November 2016, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Probalance for allegedly misrepresenting the nature and quality of its protein products, including Probalance Protein Shot, Probalance Protein Shot Plus Energy, Probalance Protein Shot XL, and Probalance Protein Water. Among other things, plaintiffs claim that the product labels misleadingly represent the protein content, including the percent of daily value, sources of protein content, and the amount of protein in the products. (Ulrich et al v. Probalance, Inc., Case No. 16-cv-10488, N. D. IL.)
