2016: A false advertising class-action was filed against G.H. Bass & Co. for allegedly deceptively advertising pricing discounts at its factory outlet stores. The complaint, which was originally filed in March and amended in September, alleges that the store makes consumers believe they are getting steep discounts on merchandise sold in factory outlet stores by comparing a fabricated original price to a lower sales price when, according to the plaintiffs, there is no discount at all because the merchandise is manufactured specifically for the outlet stores and is never sold at the original price.
