Prairie Farms Small Batch Premium Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

In November 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Prairie Farms Dairy for allegedly misleadingly advertising that the main flavoring ingredient in its Prairie Farms Small Batch brand Premium Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is vanilla when, according to the complaint, the ingredients list reveals that the ice cream contains more unspecified “Natural Flavor” than vanilla. Plaintiffs also claim that the ice cream contains artificial vanilla flavors and the vanilla beans in the ice cream are exhausted vanilla bean specks that do not provide any flavor. (Tropp et al v. Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-1035, W.D. Wis.)
