Pampa Octopus
In June 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Transnational Foods and Conservas Cerqueira for allegedly deceptively marketing Pampa Octopus in Garlic Sauce, Pampa Giant Spiced Octopus in Marinara Sauce, and Pampa Fancy Octopus in Vegetable Oil as containing octopus when, according to plaintiffs, the products contain squid. (Lejbman et al v. Transnational Foods, Inc. and Conservas Cerqueira, S.A., Case No. 17-cv-1317, S. D. CA.)
