December 2016: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Transnational Foods and Conservas Cerqueira for allegedly falsely marketing Pampa octopus products – including Octopus in Garlic Sauce, Octopus in Vegetable Oil, and Octopus in Marinara Sauce – as containing octopus when they actually contain jumbo squid.
