FTC alleged company vastly overstated the accuracy of its AI Content Detector tool.
August 2016: This action was voluntarily dismissed When a complaint is dismissed with prejudice, it cannot be refiled. as to the named plaintiffs and When a complaint is dismissed without prejudice, an amended version of the complaint can be refiled. as to the class members. The reasons for the dismissal have not been disclosed.
November 2015: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Optimum Nutrition for allegedly deceptively packaging whey products – including 100% Gold Standard Whey, 100% Oats & Whey, Performance Whey, and Naturally Flavored 100% Casein – in opaque containers that contain approximately 35% empty space. (Zakhour et al v. Glanbia Performance Nutrition, Inc. d/b/a Optimum Nutrition, Inc., Case No. 15-cv-2513, S. D. CA.)
