In January 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Only What You Need for allegedly misleadingly marketing that vanilla is the exclusive flavoring ingredient in its OWYN vanilla protein drinks when, according to plaintiffs, the ingredients list shows that the drinks contain “Natural Flavors” instead of vanilla. (Pichardo et al v. Only What You Need, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-493, S. D. NY.)
