Orbit Baby and The Ergo Baby Carrier Car Seats
In February 2018, a state court judge preliminarily approved a settlement agreement that would resolve a false advertising class-action lawsuit against Orbit Baby and The Ergo Baby Carrier. The complaint, which was originally filed in 2016, alleges that the companies falsely represent that infant and toddler car seats are free of certain unsafe chemicals, including brominated and chlorinated flame retardants, when they are not. According to the settlement terms, class members will receive a partial refund, the total amount depending on the number of car seats purchased and the number of class members who file claims. A final fairness hearing is scheduled for June 15, 2018. For more information, go to https://www.orbitbabyclassaction.com/. (Kopin et al v.
