In May 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against NOW Health Group alleging that its St. John’s Wort extract dietary supplement contains less of its active ingredient – standardized hypericin – than what is represented on the product labels. (Maniaci et al v. NOW Health Group, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-2991, E. D. NY.)
