January 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against USAA Federal Savings Bank for allegedly misleadingly promising that the bank charges only one non-sufficient fund fee on a transaction that is rejected because an account does not have enough money to cover the transaction when, according to the complaint, the bank charges a fee every time the transaction is re-submitted for payment and rejected resulting in customers being charged multiple fees on a single transaction.
