FDA Makes Sugar Count More Transparent

October 2018: This case was voluntarily dismissed When a complaint is dismissed with prejudice, it cannot be refiled. because the parties reached a settlement agreement, the terms of which have not been disclosed.
November 2017: This case was stayed pending the FDA’s decision regarding the proper use of the term natural.
December 2016: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Newman’s Own for allegedly falsely marketing its pasta sauces as “All Natural” when, according to plaintiffs, they actually contain a chemically-processed ingredient, citric acid. (Wong et al v. Newman’s Own, Inc., Case No. 16-cv-6690, E. D. NY.)
