October 2016: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Hormel Foods for allegedly falsely marketing Natural Choice® products – including Deli Roast Beef, Honey Deli Turkey, and Cooked Deli Ham — as “100% Natural” and containing “No Preservatives” when, in reality, they contain synthetic and genetically modified ingredients and preservatives. (Phelps et al v. Hormel Foods Corp., Case No. 16-cv-62411, S. D. FL.)
