In December 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Murad LLC for allegedly falsely advertising its Clarifying Oil-Free Water Gel products as “oil-free” when, according to plaintiffs, the skincare products do contain oils. (Daly et al v. Murad LLC, Case No. 2020-CH-07174, Illinois State Court – Cook County)
