2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed against The Arena Martial Arts (a health, fitness, and training studio) and ABC Financial Services (a company that processes payments and memberships for health and fitness studios) for allegedly violating California state law by, among other things, automatically placing members in a month-to-month agreement after the initial agreement ends, requiring members to pay to cancel their automatic renewals, and failing to adequately disclose terms of the membership agreements.
