Malta Goya Soft Drinks

June 2014: This case was transferred to another California court and then consolidated with other similar cases, including Cortina v. Goya Foods, the lead case. (Case No. 14-cv-169, S. D. CA.)

March 2014:class-action lawsuit was filed against Goya Foods for allegedly mislabeling the Malta Goya soft drinks as “nutritious” without adequately disclosing that the drinks contain the potential carcinogen 4-MeI. (Park et al v. Goya Foods, Inc., Case No. 14-cv-01356, C. D. CA.).
