In March 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Hanesbrands for allegedly deceptively marketing L’eggs® Silken Mist® pantyhose with “innovative run resistant technology.” According to the complaint, the company deceives consumers by making them believe that certain products – including Silken Mist® Ultra Sheer Leg with Control Top and Silken Mist® Silky Sheer Leg with Control Top – are more resistant to runs than other pantyhose when, in reality, they are not. (Rodriguez et al v. Hanesbrands Inc., Case No. 17-cv-1612, E. D. NY.)
