Jag Specialty Foods Breadsticks
February 2015: Consistent with the terms of a Confidential Settlement Agreement reached between the parties, a federal judge entered a permanent injunction stating that the company stopped, as of February 2013, labeling the breadsticks as “All Natural” and prohibiting the company from marketing them as “All Natural” going forward. The Confidential Settlement Agreement provides both monetary and non-monetary relief, but more details about its terms have not been disclosed.
January 2015: A federal judge administratively closed this case because the parties settled the matter.
June 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Jag Specialty Foods for allegedly deceptively labeling various flavors of its breadsticks, including garlic, sesame, and whole wheat. Specifically, plaintiffs claim that the company represents that its breadsticks are “all natural” when they actually unnatural, synthetic, and artificial ingredients. (Monka et al v. Jag Specialty Foods, LLC, Case No. 14-cv-80764, S. D. FL.).
