A false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against InventHelp for allegedly engaging in a deceptive and fraudulent invention promotion scam. Specifically, the plaintiffs claim that the company promises to provide inventors with tools to monetize their inventions and offers various services – including loans, research, patenting, marketing, manufacturing, and distribution – to inventors who pay thousands of dollars when, according to the complaint, the company does not provide inventors with the promised services. The lawsuit was originally filed in state court in January 2018, amended in June 2018, and transferred to federal court later in June 2018. (Zanotti et al v.
