Hostess Carrot Cake Donettes
In August 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Hostess Brands for allegedly misleadingly advertising that its Carrot Cake donettes are made with carrots when, according to the complaint, the product does not contain any carrots and the ingredients list reveals that the flavor comes from “Natural and Artificial Flavor.” (James et al v. Hostess Brands, LLC, Case No. 20-cv-6259, S.D.N.Y.)
