Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Company

In April 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Company for allegedly falsely marketing that the coffee used in several products – including Kona Classic, Kona Sunrise, Kona Hazelnut, and Kona Vanilla Macadamia Nut – was grown in the Kona district of Hawaii when, according to plaintiffs, scientific testing shows that it is highly unlikely that the coffee originates from Kona.
