June 2018: A state court judge preliminarily approved a settlement agreement. According to its terms, class members with proof of purchase may receive a full refund for a maximum award of $15 while class members without proof of purchase may receive a cash award for each product purchased in an amount that depends on the product they purchased for a maximum award of $5. 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Monster Beverage Corp. and Monster Energy Company for allegedly misleadingly marketing Hansen’s juice products, Hansen’s Smoothie Nectar products, Hubert’s lemonade, and Hubert’s lemonade-tea products as being “natural” when, according to the complaint, they contain added colors and other artificial ingredients.
