Good Health Veggie Straws
In July 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against UTZ Quality Foods and Good Health Natural Products for allegedly misrepresenting the vegetable content and nutritional and health qualities of Good Health Veggie Straws. Specifically, the complaint claims that the companies market that the snacks contain significant amounts of actual vegetables, are nutritious and healthful, and are more healthful than similar products when, according to plaintiffs, the companies changed the ingredients in the snacks and, since January 2017, they have not contained all of the ingredients listed on the label, and the vitamins in the snacks are now synthetic and not from actual vegetables. (Feldman et al v. UTZ Quality Foods, LLC, Good Health Natural Products, Inc., Good Health Natural Products, LLC, Case No. 18-cv-6004, S.D.N.Y.)
