In February 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Vi-Jon, Inc. for allegedly misleadingly marketing that Germ-X hand sanitizers will prevent and reduce the flu and other viruses when, according to the complaint, the company does not have adequate scientific studies to support such claims.
