Workado Settles FTC Complaint Challenging AI Detection Claims
FTC alleged company vastly overstated the accuracy of its AI Content Detector tool.
September 2019: Plaintiffs filed an amended complaint bringing similar allegations. Later in the month, the case was voluntarily dismissed When a complaint is dismissed without prejudice, an amended version of the complaint can be refiled., the reasons for which have not been disclosed.
February 2019: This case was transferred to federal court. (Case No. 19-cv-3081, W.D. Mo.)
January 2019: Plaintiffs filed an amended complaint adding allegations that the carwash falsely advertises that a car wash lasts three minutes when, according to the complaint, it lasts two minutes and 25 seconds.
September 2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed against In & Out Carwash for allegedly misleadingly advertising that it offers full car washes every day when, according to the plaintiffs, parts of the car wash – such as the mitters that wash the tops of vehicles – regularly fail to operate properly resulting in cars not being fully washed.
