August 2016: An amended complaint, which removed Hovind as a named plaintiff and the Oklahoma causes of action, was filed.
July 2016: One of the named plaintiffs (Hovind) dismissed her claims When a complaint is dismissed with prejudice, it cannot be refiled.. The reasons for the dismissal have not been disclosed. The claims of the remaining named plaintiff are still pending.
May 2015: A class-action lawsuit was filed against The Liquidation Channel (a home shopping network selling jewelry, gemstones, and related items) for allegedly falsely advertising price discounts. The complaint, which was originally filed in May 2015, alleges that the shopping network misleadingly offers specific dollar discounts from an “estimated retail value” when, according to plaintiffs, the “estimated retail value” is fabricated, inflated, and does not represent an accurate retail price or value for the item.
