Cree LED Lightbulbs
In April 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Cree, Inc. for allegedly deceptively advertising the lifespan of its LED light bulbs as being at least 13 years and up to 45+ years (or between 15,000 and 35,000 hours) when, according to plaintiffs, the bulbs do not last for the advertised period of time. (Wedra et al v. Cree, Inc., Case No. 19-cv-3162, S. D. NY.)
