Without a strong legal definition for “non-toxic,” cosmetic companies are making it up as they go along.

September 2017: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Credo Beauty for allegedly falsely marketing cosmetics and skin care products as being 100% natural when, according to the complaint, they contain synthetic, non-natural ingredients.
