Clarin’s Vital Light Collection and Body Lift Collection
July 2016: A federal judge dismissed this action for lack of subject matter jurisdiction after refusing to certify the class finding that certain requirements for class certification were not met.
April 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Clarins for allegedly deceptively marketing beauty-enhancing creams in the Vital Light Collection and the Body Lift Collection. Among other things, the complaint alleges that the company promises its creams will restore “the deep luminosity of young-looking skin” and fight cellulite when, in reality, the creams cannot provide the promised results. (Garcia et al v. Clarins USA, Inc., Clarins Inc., Clarins North America, Inc., Clarins Group North America, Inc., Clarins SA, Clarins Paris, Case No. 14-cv-21249, S. D. FL.).
