Bayer – Combination Aspirin

Class Action

Bayer – Combination Aspirin

A class action was filed against Bayer for marketing its Women’s Low-Dose Aspirin plus Calcium and its Aspirin with Heart Advantage without FDA approval.  The lawsuit also alleged that Bayer’s combination aspirin products could not provide all the advertised health benefits and were not suitable for long-term use.  In October 2012, Bayer agreed to pay $15 million to resolve the case. (In re: Bayer Corp. Combination Aspirin Products Marketing & Sales Practices Litigation, Case No. 1:2009md02023)
