In September 2017, a false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against American Array Solar. The complaint alleges that the company deceptively represents that consumers who install solar panels will save on their energy bills when, according to plaintiffs, they do not receive the promised savings. Amerian Array Solar, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-1198, E. D. CA.)
