This spring, seventeen students in Dr. Michelle Amazeen’s advertising campaigns class at Rider University spent the semester applying their knowledge and training to create comprehensive advertising plans for a very important client: TINA.org!
On Monday, our executive director, Bonnie Patten, and I had the pleasure of hearing the students (many of whom are graduating today) present their ideas on how TINA.org can establish itself as the authoritative source on deceptive advertising, create an online community of contributors, followers and supporters, boost awareness about TINA.org’s programs and services, and extend its social media reach.
We were impressed with the students, their presentation skills, and the time and effort they put into their advertising campaign proposals. The plans were well researched, the creative concepts were innovative, and the recommendations were sound—on par, if not better, than a few of the proposals we have received from actual ad agencies. The class of 2014 certainly has a bright future in advertising, and as an added bonus, it is entering the industry with a solid understanding and appreciation for truth in advertising!
Congratulations Class of 2014!
